All-Star Kids in Nature

The Tesori Family Foundation is proud to work in conjunction with the Greenwood School of Jacksonville to present an exciting program called All-Star Kids in Nature (ASKiN). Presented by Greenwood School, students and staff create fabulous outdoor experiences for our All-Stars to experience, including a brand new butterfly sanctuary and garden, nature path, wetland adventure area, and other learning spaces.

Primarily composed of different sensory stations, Greenwood staff and students work one on one (or in small collaborative groups) with All-Stars on different projects and activities. Each activity focuses on the environment and reinforces the need to protect and nurture the environment and wildlife around us! Following an ASKiN the Spring of 2023, an All-Star reported “We had some fun, we painted and we made pots and planted and we got awards and we took pictures and we are hoping to come back to see our buddies again.”

Kate Burt, chief storyteller at Tesori Family Foundation, put it wonderfully when she said “I really like how it is a collaborative experience between the All-Stars and the students at the school…the students are very encouraging and supportive, making it exciting for the kids”.

The Tesori Family Foundation looks forward to a long and enduring collaboration with the Greenwood School of Jacksonville and their amazing students! We are excited to see what the future holds for the All-Star Kids in Nature program!
