A Parent’s Prayer

Happy Monday! Sorry for the late post… I was waiting on approval from a special family to use their story as today’s prayer request but I haven’t received it yet, so we’ll do this in the meantime!

Paul returned home today after an incredibly long night of travel and delays and the reunion of Daddy and son was an awesome blessing to witness. Just amazing.

We wanted to share the above prayer with parents (I know it says “Moms” but it’s truly a great prayer for any parent)! Here are other prayers we are praying today:

  • For safe travels for all with the PGA Tour, whether returning home or headed to Pebble Beach.
  • For RM in Vermont who just had a biopsy on her breast after an abnormal finding.
  • For my sister’s church in Syracuse, NY, for their program to help families who have children with special needs.
  • For Team Isaiah, who got up early and stayed late to do the Wolfson Children’s Challenge on Saturday, for bodies that will heal quickly and for the rest needed after such an early wake up call!
  • For transportation for Deanna’s church North Carolina for their youth program, something we know you can provide for them.
  • For our friends who are expecting in the next few weeks, especially Meagan and Martin, Naomi and Matt, Nikki and Scott – that you will get rest now (you’re gonna need it!) and have peace as you go into the most special time of your lives!
  • For Camila’s sister as she embarks in this wonderful journey of education that will most likely take her to OSU to pursue her PhD in behavior analysis.
  • For Shelly R’s brother and sister in law, whose newborn son called home to Jesus shortly after birth, for peace, wisdom and understanding.
  • For children dealing with bullying at their schools or with their “friends” or even sometimes family.
  • For Mark L, one of Isaiah’s biggest fans, who is struggling with some health issues, that he will find a facility that is perfect for him and his needs.

Thank you for being such great prayer warriors! We love all of you! Isaiah heads back for his first LONG round of therapy this Wednesday. He also has his one month appointment on Wednesday with his regular pediatrician! We can’t even believe it’s been one month already! Insanity!

Note: we’ve put a prayer request page up on our website and encourage you to keep your prayers requests coming to us so we can wrap our arms around you in prayer!

God bless you!
Michelle & Paul
